We chose this set because it contains two bowls and these are made of easy-to-clean stainless steel. The bowls have been in use with us for a few weeks and I am completely satisfied. While the plastic base can be wiped or washed as well. It has some non slip pads at the bottom of the base but you can also add another mat for easy maintenance. This is a good purchase and a favorite of all the bowls I have for my pet.
